Anime Adaptation of the Light Novel 'Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru' -

Previously, most of the serial information that got an anime adaptation came from a manga series. However, the good news this time comes from a light novel that will get an anime adaptation. None other than, the light novel is Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru.

Through the official website and social media accounts Twitter, staff from the anime adaptation project, the novel by Nigojuu and the illustrator Umibouzu with the full title ‘Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru’ (The Detective Is Already Dead) on Wednesday January 20, 2021. Announced that the light novel will receive an anime adaptation, through this announcement as well. The information regarding the production staff and the lineup of voice actors who will be present for the project has been revealed along with the main visual and the anime announcement video. Regarding the broadcast schedule of this anime itself, the staff has not disclosed it, information about the anime broadcasting announcement may be announced at a later date.

Nigojuu begins writing romantic comedy mystery novels, at platform Kakoyomu in October 2021. Kadokawa started publishing the novel through MF Bunko J with illustrations by Umibouzu in November 2021 and shipped the fourth volume on November 25 last year, Tentai wa, Shindeiru or also known (Tanmoshi) has 250,000 copies of the cumulative volume in circulation.

Tanmoshi will be worked on by the studio ENGI and directed by Manabu Kurihara, with character designs by Yousuke Itou, and Deko Akao who is in charge of series composition.

Synopsis:

Kimihiko Kimitsuka, a young man who four years ago became an assistant to a mysterious detective under the code name “Siesta” on a hijacked plane. Kimihiko and Siesta continue their adventure while fighting a secret organization, but it all ends when they are separated by Siesta’s death. Kimihiko tries to go back to living an ordinary and boring life as a high school student.
