Anime RikeKoi's Second Season Announced

The second anime season of Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita or RikeKoi adapted from the manga by Alfred Yamamoto was announced at an anime special event on Saturday. Apart from the announcement about the second season, the visuals for the anime were also shown.

The first anime season premiered in 12 episodes early this year’s Winter. Amazon’s Prime Video platform delivered all 12 episodes prior to the television broadcast on January 11. Crunchyroll simultaneously streams the show with subtitles as well as an English dub.

Here’s a synopsis for the first season:

Ayano Himuro and Shinya Yukimura are two researchers who work in the same laboratory. One day, Himuro unexpectedly confessed his love for Yukimura. At first Yukimura looked happy. But his thinking as a scientist couldn’t help but make him think, is there any empirical evidence to show that they fell in love? From here begins Himuro and Yukimura’s research to prove that the two of them really fell in love.

This anime is also popular among open source activists because there are several scenes where it is shown the use of the Ubuntu operating system in this anime.
