WarnerMedia is a subsidiary of the At & T company located in America, the company is the owner of Crunchyroll and plans to sell it.

WarnerMedia offers the sale of its streaming service to Sony. However, after that Sony reportedly “balked” on the offer, because according to them the price sold was much higher for Crunchyroll’s competing streaming service, Funimation. Currently, Crunchyroll claims to have the largest anime library in the world, featuring more than 1,000 titles and 30,000 episodes.

The streaming service is 14 years old, and this year they have surpassed 3 million subscribers by July 28, 2021, up from 2 million at the end of 2021. Although selling anime streaming services has proven to help ease debt, many think that AT&T has sold one a very valuable asset.
