How to install Steam on Debian

In the previous article I discussed paid games for free on Steam. Well, you can play some of them on Linux because they have crossplatform support from the game developer.
In this article, I will discuss how to install Steam Client on Debian.
Steam Client itself is available in Debian Jessie, Stretch, Buster, Bullseye, and Sid repositories. But make sure you have added the “non-free” package to the repository.
The next step is to enable multi-arch. This applies if you are using a 64bit operating system.
sudo dpkg –add-architecture i386
Update the repository
sudo apt update

Then just install the Steam Client using the command
sudo apt install steam

Wait for the process to finish. And just accept it if the License Agreement prompt appears.
Open Steam Client through the application menu, and log in using your Steam account.

Okay maybe that’s just the tutorial this time. May be useful. If you have anything to ask please leave a comment.
