Mortal Kombat: Complete Edition Mysteriously Disappears from Steam

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition has been removed from Steam.

Although not officially confirmed by publisher Warner Bros. or Steam operator Valve, ResetEra members noted the game was pulled while searching for it on the Steam store page, with players saying that “at the publisher’s request, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is no longer available for sale on Steam. “(Thank you, VG24 / 7).

Without clear confirmation of deletion, Mortal Kombat fans can only ponder for this reason. Many argue this may be due to the overall right to Freddy Krueger returned from Warner Bros (publisher of Mortal Kombat) to the estate of Wes Craven (who wrote and directed A Nightmare on Elm Street).

This isn’t the first time a Mortal Kombat game has suddenly been removed from Steam. Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection also experienced the same incident in 2015.
