PS4 Sales Reach 110.4 Million Worldwide!
Sony recently gave its latest earnings report, which is that despite the upcoming PS5 release, PS4 sales are still very strong in the market. In the report, it was revealed that 110.4 million units have been sold so far, which means that on average, 15.7 million PS4 consoles are sold annually.
Nintendo Switch, as one of its rivals, also revealed that it had experienced a high increase in sales, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic like now. Many other gamers were initially quite curious, whether the PS4 was the same.
Since the plans for the creation and release of the PS5, since 2016 and every year thereafter, PS4 has always experienced a decline in sales. So far, PS4 has sold 13.6 million units, which might exceed the sales for the 2021/2019 period which only sold 17.8 million units.
To be sure, PS4 has managed to score over 100 million sales since its release. However, this number is still quite far from the best-selling PlayStation console of all time, the PS2, which sold 155 million units worldwide. But whether the PS4 can surpass the PS2, we’ll see!
