Ryzen 5000 With "Zen 3" Architecture Officially Launched
AMD has officially launched the Ryzen 5000 Series processors in an online event with tagline “Gaming started with AMD”.
Quoted from The Verge, AMD sets high expectations for the Ryzen 5900X which promises to be no less than the best gaming CPU in the world.
Ryzen promises better gaming performance and productivity than competitors with its newest Ryzen products.
The Ryzen 5000 series showcased at the event was the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. This processor will have 12 cores, 24 threads, 70MB L3 cache, 4.8Ghz boost clock, and 105watt TDP.
The Ryzen 5000 series uses the latest architecture from AMD, Zen 3. With this architecture, the processor is claimed to be 26 percent faster to play games, and 16 percent more capable of processing intstructions per cycle (IPC) than the previous generation Zen 2.
In addition to the Ryzen 9 5900X, the Ryzen 7 5800X and 5 5600X were also introduced. Each is equipped with a combination of cores / threads / L3 cache 8/16/36 MB, and 6/12/35 MB.
For availability, the four newest AMD Ryzen processors will be available on November 5.
Prices are pegged at US $ 799 (around Rp.11.7 million) for the Ryzen 9 5950X, US $ 549 (around Rp.8 million) for the Ryzen 9 5900X, US $ 449 (around Rp.6 million) for the Ryzen 7 5800X, and 299 US dollars (around Rp. 4.3 million) for the Ryzen 5 5600X.
In addition to launching the Ryzen 5000 Series, AMD has also introduced its newest GPU Radeon 6000 “Big Navi”. Radeon “Big Navi” will be launched on October 28th.
