Square Enix Will Announce Some of Its Latest Games

In the next few months Square Enix will announce its new games as a replacement for this year’s E3 event which had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was reported through Gematsu, when he asked how Square Enix would announce their latest game if the E3 event was canceled.

Question: Normally, you would announce new games at E3, but how will the coronavirus affect your plans this year?

Answer: We will usually announce new games at E3, huh. We had planned to hold a press conference as a replacement event, but were unable to do so due to incomplete assets. We will post new titles individually as time permits. Some will debut around July to August.

As explained in the interview above, that the event will start from July to August, although it did not say specifically what date the event would start. In addition, Square Enix recently announced a new game Project Athia at the event The Future of Gaming PlayStation 5 last week.
