A Dungeons and Dragons streamer suddenly went viral in the streaming community overnight after her mother sneaked onto her broadcast to entertain viewers while she was AFK.
‘SDSocrates‘Afk for a moment to rest while he was streaming, and just as he was leaving his gaming chair, his mother, Cathy, took the opportunity to greet viewers and thank them for watching her son get so excited while streaming on Twitch.
“Hi everybody, I’m Cathy, I’m Sebby’s mom, and I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for supporting him in his streaming endeavor,” he said, glancing occasionally to make sure his son wasn’t back yet. “He’s super excited about it and I’m happy for him.” He then entertained the audience by singing the song You Are My Sunshine.
The moment continued until Socrates re-entered the room and saw his mother sitting in the chair he used to use.
This moment occurred while Socrates was streamed on July 17, but received massive attention over the past 24 hours after the clip was shared on Reddit. The clip got a jump in viewership to reach 190,000 views – a pretty fantastic number for a new debut streamer like SDSocrates.
Responding to the trending clip, SDSocrates in his latest stream on July 20 said that he is very grateful to have a mother like Cathy who always supports whatever he does.
