Core, a proprietary free platform and community Manticore Game for gamers and video game makers, now in alpha open after two years of development . “Digital Playground” allows people to create their own multiplayer games, or play old content without the need for design or programming.
The platform uses the Unreal Engine, Epic Games’ real-time 3D creation platform, for game creation and fast publishing. Manticore will add features regularly to upgrade the Core.
“Everyone who wants to experiment and express their creativity in new ways can use this platform,” Jordan Maynard, Manticore’s head of creative, said in the statement. “Most of the gamers had an idea they wanted to see as a game and now, with Core, there’s nothing to get in their way.
