EA and Premier League Announce the ePremier League
Teams that compete are the same as the Premier League, only from England.
Premier League recently announced their collaboration with Electronic Arts to make the tournament ePremier League (ePL). This ePL will later be organized by Gfinity who are used to taking care of the eSports tournament.
All 20 clubs from the Premier League will attend the tournament’s opening ceremony, giving FIFA players in England the opportunity to compete in support of their favorite team.
This ePL will start in January not with the system online qualification before finally making it to the playoffs from January to March. The finals of the ePL will take place in London from 28 to 29 March 2021, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports as well as the Premier League channels.
Richard Masters as the Director of the Premier League said that this collaboration with EA was a very good thing and EA Sports was the most appropriate candidate to do this. And Richard himself admitted that he couldn’t wait to see the online opening in 2021.
Each team will later be played with 2 players, 1 from PlayStation 4 and 1 from Xbox One. Registration will open on December 3.
The ePL itself will also take part in the FIFA 19 Global Series. Where the participants who manage to get points can be used to participate in the FIFA 19 Global Series.
