Epic Games Showcases Unreal Engine 5 Video Views

On May 13, Epic Games announced the first preview video of Unreal Engine 5. One of Epic Games’ goals for creating next-generation displays / graphics is to achieve photorealism on a par with real-life and CG films.
Reported by Venture Beat, Unreal Engine’s debut will start in early 2021, and it will be one of the tools that will allow the entire gaming industry to take a step forward in graphics quality, said Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney in an interview with GamesBeat.
“This is a graphical leap in new features. While that doesn’t break things before, Unreal Engine 5 will be a straightforward upgrade for anyone using Unreal Engine 4. “
“It will be like going through some minor version updates. But it has the main graphics features targeted at the next generation consoles, which are determined by the PlayStation 5. It is likely that this feature will also be available to PC and on other platforms though. “
Unreal Engine 4.25 already supports next-generation console platforms from Sony and Microsoft, and Epic Games is also working with game developers and publishers who are using Unreal Engine 4 to build next-generation games.
Unreal Engine 5 will be available in early 2021, supporting next-generation consoles, current-generation consoles, PCs, Macs, iOS, and Android.
