Success with Persona 4 Golden, SEGA Will Bring More Titles to PC
SEGA and Atlus are indeed expanding into the PC gaming market. They have brought several titles for PC gamers. Call it like Catherine Classic and last Persona 4 Golden which was released on PC in June. Even, Persona 4 Golden PC gamers’ favorite game on Steam. Thanks to success Persona 4 Golden, SEGA plans to bring more titles to PC.
Reporting from Gameindustry.biz, SEGA released its earnings report this year. Although there are several sectors that have stagnated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the increase in income that SEGA gets is in the PC sector. In the sector, name Persona 4 Golden become the largest contributor. Since its release last June via Steam, Persona 4 Golden successfully sold 500,000 copies in July. SEGA has also seen an increase in other older titles releasing on PC.
“Going forward, we intend to aggressively promote porting previously released titles to Steam and other new platforms,” said SEGA in the revenue results. “Under such a direction, we are also considering a multi-platform launch and preparing other titles to be brought to the PC platform.”
This news is certainly good news for fans of SEGA games around the world, especially PC gamers. SEGA and Atlus did not release many titles outside the PlayStation ecosystem. This has been the case for a long time franchise SEGA major like Persona and Yakuza. The fact that SEGA will be bringing its games to PC is something fans have been craving for years.
