The event, which was first held in 2014, was produced and hosted by Canadian game journalist Geoff Keighley.

Well, the organizers have confirmed that the annual TGA 2021 event will be held again at 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM on December 11, 2021.
Unfortunately, this annual event will be held virtually or online because of the Covid-19 pandemic that is currently happening.
The TGA 2021 event will reportedly be held in Tokyo, London and Los Angeles, but they will not provide access to public viewers for safety reasons and will be broadcast online.
The event will be broadcast live on more than 45 video platforms around the world, and will be broadcast simultaneously by thousands of gaming influencers as well.
This year they also added new nominations such as an award for best accessibility in a game.

Geoff Keighley, the event’s producer, said in an interview with GamesBeat:
“The Games Awards event will be broadcast online, and have a wider reach than last year”
This multi-million dollar event, reportedly will also have other Game Festivals such as access to demo game titles like Steam.
Keighley also said that the success of the Gamescom event which was held in August was a motivation or impetus to hold the TGA 2021 event in December.
Without a live audience, Keighley promises to get fans excited in other ways.
