Two Next-gen 'PS5 and Xbox Series S' Consoles Enter 2021's Best Inventions List

GridGames.ID – Right at the end of 2021, two next-gen consoles were born in the near future, namely the PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series S.

The two consoles are predicted to be included in the list of the best inventions this year.

Reporting from the Kompas.com page, Time magazine included the PS5 and Xbox Series S in the list of “100 Best Inventions of 2021” for the entertainment category.

The PS5 and Xbox Series S come in with other great inventions such as the Animal Crossing New Horizons game to the Nvidia GeForce Now graphics card.

Time defines the PS5 as a modern, high-tech console, thanks to the presence of a solid-state drive (SSD) as console storage media and a graphics processor 10 times faster than the PS4.

In his review, the author of the Time article, Matthew Gault, also underlined the ability of the PS5 to provide amazing graphics quality.

“With all these capabilities, this (PS5) is probably the most powerful video game console we’ve ever seen,” wrote Gault as compiled by KompasTekno from Time, Wednesday (11/25/2020).

As for the Xbox Series S, Matthew said, one of the mainstays of this console is the Xbox Game Pass service.

With this service, Xbox users can play hundreds of games for free by subscribing to the service every month.

PS5 can be ordered officially in Indonesia starting December 18, 2021.

Regarding the price, the PS5 is priced at IDR 7.3 million for the digital version and IDR 8.8 million for the standard version.

Even though it can be ordered starting December 18, 2021, the console unit will begin shipping to buyers and can be purchased offline starting January 22, 2021.

While the Xbox Series S is sold at USD 299 or the equivalent of Rp.4.4 million.
