AMD Officially Showcases its Latest RX 6000 Series Graphics Card

AMD has revealed its complete lineup of AMD RX 6000 graphics cards. Dubbed the “Big Navi”, the new GPU will be in direct competition with Nvidia’s latest RTX 3000 series. Offers incredible performance, immersive visuals, and a variety of features that make it a new standard for PC gaming enthusiasts.
After appearing at the Fortnite event, and a fleeting introduction in early October, AMD has finally unveiled the full lineup of RX 6000 graphics cards.
AMD’s newest range starts with the RX 6800XT. Equipped with 16GB GDDR6 vram memory, 72 computing units, 2015MHz base clock, and 2250MHz boost.

Then underneath there is the RX 6800 variant. It has the same 16GB GDDR6 vram, but reduces the compute unit to 60 while reducing clock speed to 1815MHz and 2105MHz.

Lastly and completing the 6000 series is the RX 6900XT, AMD’s answer to the RTX 3090 challenge. It has the same memory and clock speed as the RX 6800XT, but increases the total compute unit to 80.This makes the gaming performance of the RX 6900XT more focused when compared to the RTX 3090, although AMD benchmarks themselves show mixed results in comparisons.

AMD RX 6000 Series graphics cards are built around the innovative AMD RDNA ™ 2 gaming architecture. And set a new foundation for future consoles, PCs, laptops and mobile devices. Designed for optimal performance and power efficiency.
The RDNA ™ 2 architecture is claimed to provide up to 2X the performance of the AMD RDNA ™ 1 architecture and up to 54 percent higher performance-per-watt using the same 7nm process technology.
“Today’s launch is the pinnacle of many years of R&D focused on bringing the best AMD Radeon graphics card to the gaming market for enthusiasts, and represents a major evolution in PC gaming,” said Scott Herkelman, corporate vice president and general manager, Graphics Business Unit. AMD
