Final Fantasy XVI Announced for PC and PS5 Platforms

Final Fantasy XVI, the next game in the popular RPG series, is in the works. The developer Square Enix officially announced the game and released its first trailer. It was also revealed that the game will be available on two platforms: PC and PlayStation 5, which will be a console exclusive. And of course with this Xbox users will be a little sad.

The trailer features a wealth of information to whet our appetites, including a noble boy named Joshua, a man who vows to protect him, a giant monster named Icon, and the message “the legacy of the crystals has shaped our history for long enough.”

This game is produced by Creative Business Unit III Square Enix. The producer is Naoki Yoshida, and the director is Hiroshi Takai. Yoshida produced and directed Final Fantasy XIV, while Takai directed the PC version of Last Remnant.

The announcement comes along with details on the PS5 launch date and price.
