Manga Cells At Work!  Will End This Month

Even though the second TV anime season is coming, it looks like the Cells At Work manga! Akane Shimizu’s work is coming to an end. A leak in the February 2021 issue of the Monthly Shonen Sirius Kodansha magazine has now circulated, and it has been revealed that the work whose Japanese title is My heart Saibou this will end in the next issue. The issue will ship in January 2021.

The announcement from the manga magazine also stated that the final chapter of Hataraku Saibou will be centered around the COVID-19 virus. Somewhat fitting because this plague has attacked everyone around the world.

Previously, Kodansha also announced its popular spinoff manga, Cells At Work! Code Black, too, is coming to an end. His final volume, Vol. 8, will launch on February 22, 2021.

As for the anime’s second season, Null & Peta Hirofumi Ogura will be the new directors, with David Production again being entrusted with handling the animation issues for the series. Takahiko Yoshida is also back as character designer! Season two for Cells At Work! will premiere on January 10, 2021. Synopsis:

Once upon a time, the life of the cells in the human body is described as a city. They also have to fight pathogenic microorganisms that can enter through the nose, mouth, or wounds. Most of the story centers on 2 cells, the budding red blood cell, AE3803, which often gets lost in carrying out its delivery duties and the white blood cell, U-1146, which fights against all the germs that attack the human body.
