Pokémon Go's Player Versus Player League Kicks Off Its First Season Next Week

Pokémon Go’s Go Battle League first season, player vs player mode will take place next week, Niantic announced it on Thursday. Players who reach rank 4 during the “pre-season” beta testing will get a reward for starting their first season.
Officially, Go Battle League season one kicks off Friday, March 13th at 1pm PDT. When launched, the Big Leagues will play from the season kickoff through Friday, March 27th. It will be followed by the Ultra League, until April 10; then the Masters League until April 24; and finally, all three leagues will play from Friday, April 24, through Friday, May 1. The league start / stop times are all 1 pm PDT. Season 2 begins May 1, said Niantic.

The Great, Ultra, and Master Leagues are available to close pre-season from now to March 13, with Darkrai as a rare prize gathering this weekend. Darkrai will be available from Friday, March 6, 8 a.m. to Monday, March 9 at 10 p.m. (user’s local time). After season 1 started, Altered Forme Giratina will be a rare prize gathering during the first weekend, from 8am Friday, 13 March, to 10pm.
