Steam Touches 20 Million Players for the First Time

Just in time Half-Life: Alyx release, Valve’s biggest platform (Steam) has set new records. More than 20.3 million players were simultaneously on Steam service when it checked out Monday morning. This is the biggest record in its history since it was first launched in 2003.
Steam’s previous record occurred in early February, when more than 18.8 million players logged in simultaneously. Though fewer people were actually in the game at the time, as SteamDB points out. But now, that record has been shattered again. Not only logged in simultaneously, with 20,313,476 players, it did not include several users who were playing the game. but as SteamDB notes, the number of users playing the game (7 million to 6.395 million this morning) is nothing compared to what happened a few years ago.
