The Game Awards This Year Will Be Held Online
Since the Corona pandemic that continues throughout the world, many people carry out various kinds of activities from home. Some of them are like work, school, and other activities. This turned out to also have an effect on several video game events that were previously held offline to be turned online, such as EVO, Ubisoft Forward, and the Tokyo Game Show.
This information was obtained after one of the journalists from IGN, Geoff Keiglhey , who conducted an interview with The Game Awards who said that the event would still be held, even though it was online.

Although the official date for The Game Awards 2021 has not been announced, the event is expected to take place in December.
