7 Disappointing Things in the Black Desert Mobile Game

Black Dessert Mobile

Black Desert Mobile was released a few weeks ago. This game created by Pearl Abyss maintains its visual appearance using their engine. Games that use the best visuals in the history of mobile gaming. However, it’s a shame, it seems that they can’t help but be obliged to put certain changes in the mobile version. Got some disappointments during its initial release on Android and iOS which we have summarized below.

1. Some movies that are imported directly according to the PC version are less representative

Black Desert Mobile

Importing PC assets to the mobile version is indeed an interesting improvisation. But unfortunately, the mobile version of Black Desert is less representative. This is because the world being explored with the movie feels out of sync because it is not the same as the visual appearance. In addition, the movie looks broken and a little less pleasing to the eye. They should have made their own assets specifically for movies on the mobile version, so permits are relatively comfortable to see. If the appearance is broken I doubt this game can survive but if it’s already pretty based on the visual appearance, why can’t the movie be made pretty at the same time?

2. Increase Paid Pet & Class Skills

Black Desert Mobile

No, it doesn’t pay with real money, but in-game currency. Finding money is also easy. But yes, I’m still disappointed. Because it should be able to use the same mechanics as the PC version using the grind-all-the-way method. Not to mention, to improve skills, you need a certain book which again you can only get according to the quest. So, for example you need to improve the “Slash” skill, then you need the “Slash” book. Already paid, use the book again Meanwhile, pet skills will need energy and money.

3. Minimalist Combo Skill

Black Desert Mobile

Combo as a mainstay based on Black Desert. In the PC version, we can perform combos using unique skills, even using just click attacks. Feels seamless without having to have a fraction of a second delay. While the mobile version is made like MOBA games or RPG games in general with certain skill buttons. You can choose certain slots to release skills. Yes, there are 2 layer skills, but from me it’s still lacking. Make the seamless essence seem lost. Even if they are able to practice like on a PC it might be better. For example, by adding a combination feature of the direction and aggression buttons. So, when we press the directional buttons at certain angles, the skills your character spews will not be the same.

4. Some Areas Are Quite Small

Black Dessert

The area in Black Desert Mobile is relatively narrow. For you and other players, you don’t want to be obliged to fight for mob monsters. Because this game won’t give you much XP if you don’t snack, for example, as explained in the previous point. For those of you whose way of gamers is grinding to the point of death, this can be one of the obstacles to finally being able to take the holy book. Uh, I mean an obstacle that must be faced. If it’s good to grind on one spot to chase the level 40 target last night, the fighting continues, it just feels unfair for grinding type players without the auto feature The monster really respawns very quickly, but if it’s already taken, what can I do? Be tough at the beginning, this is a test.

5. Quest Based Focus

Black Dessert

Quest Black Desert Mobile is designed much better based on my comparison to using the PC version. The interesting thing is the voice acting feature, which is rarely absent in every quest. But unfortunately, balancing between grinding via hunting and quests feels quite far. You want to level up fast? Quest, don’t grind. Because grinding here is quite a drag on XP, except for a large number of mobs. Supposedly, it could be relatively balanced a little more for the grinding mania there.

6. Auto

Black Dessert

Actually, this is a feature that should be removed, especially for Black Desert Mobile classmates. Because, for example, what is said by MMORPG Lover players is that auto removes the essence of playing MMORPGs. Why are there any interesting features in Black Desert Mobile, if you end up using auto? The essence of the gameplay is so there are no men, get mystery items, secret locations, tricks, etc. What are you doing playing games if it’s auto? Indeed, this is very useful for those of you who are busy working or maybe learning to flip through 9 mountains. But yes, in terms of game design, it just doesn’t feel like there is a taste. Oh yes, this feature can only be used if you have continued the story.

7. Not Shared Server

Yes, that’s right, if you have a character on one server constraint, then your character will not be able to be accessed on another server. Unlike the PC version which is a shared server where it can be accessed on other servers, the mobile version is not capable. So if you choose the Serendia server, your character will forever be on the Serendia server, unable to move to Dandelion etc.

Those are 7 disappointments according to Black Desert Mobile. Please note, this is an early release version of the game and will likely be updated as better in future versions. So, don’t use it as a standard to completely share some of the shortcomings in the article above. Or maybe you yourself have something that is disappointing with the game?
