Rurouni Kenshin Get a Musical Adaptation Starring Teppei Koike

The musical adaptation of the “Kyoto Arc” of the Rurouni Kenshin action manga is scheduled to take place this fall in IHI Stage Around Tokyo, which is known for its 360 degree audience seats (seats are set in the center of the theater, and the game scene is changed by rotating the seats).

The manga was previously adapted into a musical drama by Snow Troup Takarazuke Revue in 2016, starring Seina Sagiri as Kenshin. He reprized his role in the musical reruns produced by Shochiku and the Umeda Art Theater in 2021. Shuichiro Koike, who worked on both plays, is again playing writer and director.

Well, in 2021, actor Teppei Koike (who plays L in the musical Death Note) plays the protagonist Kenshin Himura.
