Does Sony Have a Plan to Reveal the PS5 in May?
The months have passed and PlayStation fans are still waiting to see when Sony will reveal the shape of the PS5. Until now, Sony has just introduced DualSense as the PS5 joystick and the specifications that are the strengths of this next-generation console. However, there is the latest news which is quite interesting. The news states that the PS5 will soon be revealed in May.
In a new report from VGC, that their source said that Sony plans to hold an event to show the PS5 form to the public next month. However, due to the many changes that have occurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is uncertain whether this plan will still be carried out by Sony internally. A few weeks ago, Sony announced that they would postpone The Last of Us Part II, which was supposed to release next May, until an undetermined time. This change could easily affect the company’s plans to showcase the PS5 publicly as well.
In addition, Daniel Ahmad’s Twitter account recently hinted that many game industry announcements were undergoing changes after E3 2021 was officially canceled. “With the cancellation of E3, many announcements have gone out of plan,” Ahmad said on Twitter. “Some of these plans could be disclosed earlier or later than the originally planned schedule. “
With E3 canceled, a lot of the planned reveals / announcements have been moved out of that single week.
Some are now much earlier, others much later. Some still during E3 week ofc.
The first proper next gen console / games showcase is much earlier too.

Although until now there has been no official confirmation from Sony, as PlayStation fans we certainly hope this will happen. Given, the global COVID-19 pandemic could disrupt all existing schedules, including the disclosure of PS5 in the future.
