Erick Herlangga answered Moonton’s clarifying post
GridGames.ID – In recent days, Erick Herlangga has expressed his disappointment with Moonton who is considered to have monopolized the tournament.
Initially he revealed this in his Instagram story on June 30, 2021, where it was written “if Moonton has a monopoly and insists on selling 15 billion slots and bans other tournaments, how are the achievements of Indonesian Mobile Legends athletes to face the Sea Games and the Asian eSports Championship?”
Until finally on July 1, 2021, the owner of Louvre eSports made a petition on Change.org entitled “Cancel the 15 billion pay rule to take part in the Mobile Legends & Monopoly Moonton tournament.”

Previously, Erick had planned to make a petition about Moonton’s policy of monopolizing the tournament and if the number of signatories reached 5,000, he would continue to fight through diplomacy to Moonton and the government.
However, if the petition doesn’t reach the target, then Erick will only focus on managing the Sea Games.
Until this article was written, nearly 40 thousand people had signed the petition.
Finally, Moonton’s side also spoke up by posting a photo of a long text explaining that the allegations were not true.

Moonton’s clarification on Instagram
“We felt that we had to take the tournament to the next level especially in our most important market, Indonesia. We realized that we couldn’t do all this alone, and we started reaching out to our entire team of MPL participants to ask if they would be willing to step in and invest in it. The league goes through a shared revenue distribution model that is similar to many Professional eSports Leagues around the world, “Moonton wrote.
The regulation is implemented to increase the professionalism of team management and create programs that help in the development of a sustainable eSports career for the people of Indonesia.
In his writing, Moonton revealed that he would take legal action against those who continued his defamation campaign regarding the tournament monopoly. Duh!
Erick finally returned to writing an answer on the Instagram story, “I still don’t understand why Moonton threatens to bring to legal action for 35 thousand people who have signed the petition.”

Then Erick brought up the question of Indonesian law which protects the rights of opinion in which Indonesia is a democracy and hopes that Moonton does not use Chinese law, which is their country of origin.
“Your threat makes us stronger because we only asked to meet for 2 things that we think are important for the achievements of Indonesian athletes,” added Erick.

Erick didn’t want to lose, he said he would add demands if Moonton didn’t want to meet with his party.
In fact, what was getting hotter was when Erick revealed that Moonton also had to pay a deposit at one bank of 50% of 140 billion so that one day if the game died and MPL was only done every 2 years, the owner had the right to take their money back.
In addition, Moonton must also change the payment method from having to be paid off before the MPL to 5 years and remove the interest article if the owner is late in paying off,
Oops, it’s getting more complicated, it seems that the problems of these two parties, hopefully they both meet quickly and can solve these problems, yha!
