CS: GO Player Number Increases! Will 2021 be its era?

Gamezero.id – One of the First Person Shooter (FPS) games, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, or what is commonly called CS: GO has another record.

CS: GO, one of the most popular esports games, is back with a record number of players playing more than 900,000 into their game. Since CS: GO became a free game in December 2021, the number of players in this game has indeed increased. The previous record occurred in April 2016 with a total of 874,875 players, to coincide with the MLG Columbus Major which was won by Luminosity Gaming by beating Natus Vincere alias Na’Vi in the final round. Now that record has been broken with the peak number of players around 900,000.

Usually, the number of players in each game will decrease over time. Of course, there were some exceptions such as the number of players Dota 2 which began to be released on July 9, 2013. In addition to the increasing number of players, the number of CS: GO esports tournaments also continues to grow. Not only that, several esports organizations also rose like that OG Evil Geniuses, 100 Thieves, and Gen G. Team Secret also re-formed the CS: GO team after being on hiatus for 2 years.

Now the number of CS: GO players is more than Dota 2. However, the number of players Dota 2 got up to be one million in February 2021. Unfortunately the number of game players dropped dramatically in December 2021, after the update Outlanders released. No wonder the update has overhauled the gameplay so much from before.
