Kantai Collection gets its second season in 2022

Perhaps it was surprising news earlier this year that finally the continuation of the rumors regarding KanColle’s second season was finally confirmed. This web browser game about warships-as-women (or women-as-battleships?) Gave birth to a multimedia franchise, but there hasn’t been a follow-up to the anime since the movie released in 2016.

The second season of this anime has been announced before, but not many have heard of it until now. Now C2 Kikan, Kadokawa and Engi are announcing that Kantai Collection season 2 will start in 2022.

Engi is a 2D / 3D animation studio founded in 2021 by Kadokawa, Sammy and Ultra Super Pictures. The first season of KanColle is animated by Diomedea.

Reporting from Kaori Nusantara, the following is a synopsis of the first season of Kantai Collection:

Kantai Collection tells of Fubuki, a girl who was blessed with the power of a battleship in the past who joined a naval base. In the base that somehow the admiral was never shown in real terms (was his figure the sacred Prophet Muhammad?), Fubuki immediately followed his first battle against enemy troops from the bottom of the sea. He meets many new people, starting with Akagi who is so respectable but is described as eating, Nagato who is squeamish, Mutsuki and Yuudachi who are his peers, and many other girls.

The antime itself, in my opinion, is quite enjoyable in my spare time. Anime is relaxed, but not boring. If you are curious about the first season, you can watch it on your favorite streaming website.
