Watch the First 10 Minutes of the Violet Evergarden Movie

Usually someone might decide to watch a movie after seeing a trailer or listening to good reviews from other people about the film. Kyoto Animation did something out of the ordinary to lure people into watching their new Violet Evergarden movie: they had already posted the film’s first ten minutes on YouTube.

Even though you don’t speak Japanese, you can still feel the feel of this movie. And, remember, Violet Evergarden is part of a franchise that famously made fans in Japan cry.

This movie has been delayed due to a burning incident which was then followed by the COVID-19 outbreak. Currently the film is playing in Japanese theaters, having finished second at the Japanese box office. The previous franchise film, Violet Evergarden I: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll, came out last fall. Kyoto Animation has been recovering since last year’s arson attacks, and it’s great to see its new film do well.

Curious? Check out the first 10-minute snippet in this video:

What do you think after seeing the snippet? And if the movie is released in Indonesia, will you guys watch it in theaters?
