GridGames.ID – As GridGames reported some time ago, Reza ‘Arap’ Oktovian and his two friends, Aoura Lovenson Chandra and Jeffry Hidayat, formed an eSport team called We Against the World or WAW eSports.
WAW eSport itself was inaugurated on 20 September 2021.

Today (12/11), Arap and his two friends introduced the game divisions under the auspices of WAW eSports which was held at a press conference in La Biere, Central Park, Jakarta.

There are the PUBG Mobile, Fortnite, Mobile Legends and Arena of Valor divisions which yesterday won the AOV National Championship competition in Sabuga, Bandung.

Arap and his two friends, Aoura and Jeffry, explained that WAW eSports does not only support Indonesian gamers, but also develops talents and playing abilities, also hones and makes its members the best players as well as content creators.
“We hope that our players will become content creators, coaches, if necessary they will become team managers. Because in the next 2-3 years there will be progress (aka not always being players). We will provide career paths for WAW players’ capital. eSports in the future, “said Arap.
Arap discussed age and eSports players. He said, aged 25 years and over are not focused enough to be a player. Because usually pro players have an age under 25 years.
“Honestly, I want to lift trophies like those who won in game competitions. But I realize my age,” he said laughing.
As previously known, since 2003, Arap has become a pro DotA player and began entering the World Cyber Games in 2005-2009 and his team named Team Ombak Net entered the Dota semifinals but did not succeed in winning the match.
Arap and his friends divulge how and based on what they can recruit their players?
“Usually I see it from the global top first. The two attitudes are important, because if the atitude is not good, how can we commit to us later? The third one is usually I talk to it first so I can get the chemistry,” explained Arap.
Quoted from the press release, WAW eSports has a vision that wants to make Indonesia one of the leaders in the world-class eSports ecosystem.
“My main goal in establishing WAW is to bring pro-gamers or Indonesian athletes to the international arena and bring Indonesia to compete in global competitions,” said Arap explaining his goal of forming WAW.
