Nintendo isn't planning on releasing a new Switch Pro model this year

Recently Nintendo made statement that they are not planning to release a new Switch Pro model in 2021. They are basically taking a more hardware approach, and will be extending the Switch’s lifespan for the next few years.
Because of this, Nintendo is not ready to replace the existing model. Nintendo currently has no plans to replace the Switch or Switch Lite with the 4K-supported Switch Pro in 2021.
Currently the Nintendo team prefers to develop consoles at the Switch and Switch Lite software and hardware levels. And this is certainly good news because Nintendo has the foundation to move forward and bring the Switch duo for years to come.
This isn’t the first time Nintendo has said the new system didn’t arrive before actually rolling out new hardware a few months later.
In January 2021, Nintendo President, Furukawa said that Nintendo had not thought about new hardware. Then a few months later in July, Nintendo announced a revised Switch Lite priced at $ 199.
Nobody really knew about Nintendo’s plans. But analysts predict the Switch Pro will come in 2021 with 4K support to compete with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
