1. His real name is indeed Gol D. Roger
The most important fact that you should know about Gol D. Roger? The author doesn’t typo when writing his name. This one person is indeed named Gol D. Roger, not Gold Roger.
This error also turned out to be intentional in the world One Piece alone. The Marines and the World Government called Roger Gold Roger. The reason they called Gold Roger was to cover up the fact that Roger was the owner Will of D, reflected in the middle name D which he has.
