Outer Wilds, a Space-Themed Adventure Game
Outer Wilds is an exploration / camping type game, walking through strange worlds orbiting supernova stars every 20 minutes ”. It launched exclusively on the Epic Games Store in May 2021 with the promise of “additional platforms to come later,” and is now official: Outer Wilds will be available on Steam on June 18th.
Many supporters of the crowdfunding campaign at Fig expressed disappointment (or worse) last year when developer Mobius Digital announced that Outer Wilds would be launching as an Epic Games Store exclusive. However, shortly after, Mobius said that everyone who supports games on PC will be given an Epic and Steam key when the game is available on each platform. The year-long wait might be frustrating for the austere storefront advocates, but it’s still a good move on the part of the developer.
